Carol, COO
Carol brings 27 years of nursing experience to the team. In addition she has business experience including 10+ years with IBM and 7+ years in Marketing. Carol served our nation’s veterans for over 18 years at the Southern Arizona VA HealthCare Systems (SAVAHCS) facility. During her tenure at SAVAHCS, she performed a variety of roles primarily in the acute psychiatric and geropsychiatric arena. Carol was the Program Manager for the Geriatric-Psychiatric Unit, Detoxification/Addictions Liaison in the Acute Psychiatric Unit, MDS Coordinator, and Peer Advocate. She has nine years of experience as a Chief Nursing Officer/Director of Nursing. She has been responsible for all aspects of professional nursing practice and direct patient care including education. Carol has 8 1/2 years experience working with individuals living with Geriatric-Psychiatric disorders and those with cognitive impairment.
Donna, CEO
I have dedicated 44 years to nursing, with a deep specialization in critical care medicine. My extensive experience spans various high-intensity areas, including:
- Neuro ICU
- CCU
- Cardiovascular ICU
- Medical ICU
- Travel nursing across the country
- Emergency Department in level 1 trauma centers
- Transplant procurement coordination
- Fixed wing critical care transport
- Cardiology (as a testing nurse and electrophysiology nurse)
- Endoscopy procedures
- Radiology special procedures
- Mental health care
Throughout my career, I have been a driving force behind policy changes that enhance patient safety and improve working conditions for staff. I have also played a key role in mentoring students at all levels and orienting new staff, frequently taking charge in high-pressure environments. Above all, I am committed to being a strong advocate for my patients.
Susie, Dean
With years of dedicated service in the healthcare field, Susie has established herself as a compassionate and skilled healthcare professional. Her journey began with a Bachelor’s in sociology/ social work and then a masters in counseling. She has continually sought to expand her knowledge and skills, earning a Master’s degree in Nursing along with numerous specialized certifications in critical care, gerontology, and alternative medicine.
Throughout her career, Susie has worked in various healthcare settings, from bustling urban hospitals, to community clinics, the correctional system, nursing schools, and mental health hospitals. Striving to provide exceptional care to her patients. Her passion for empowerment and education lead her to become an educator for CNAs and nurses, where she has spent the past several years mentoring and guiding future healthcare professionals.
Susie is a strong advocate for holistic health, believing in the importance of treating the whole person—mind, body, and spirit. She has pursued continuing education in integrative health practices and is an active proponent of alternative medicine. Her commitment to lifelong learning and holistic care has earned her respect and admiration from both her peers and students.
